Eagles TE Dallas Goedert to miss significant time due to shoulder injury

Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert will miss extended time with a shoulder injury he suffered during Monday night’s loss to the Washington Commanders. NFL Networks Mike Garafalo tweeted: “#Eagles TE Dallas Goedert will miss extended time with a shoulder injury suffered in the win over the #Commanders last night, sources tell me and @TomPelissero. Not a season-ender though. Injury added to insult on the play with the missed facemask that put him in harm’s way.”

Goedert seemingly suffered the injury during the fourth quarter of the team’s 32-21 loss at Lincoln Financial Field on Monday night. The 27-year-old was tackled by his face mask and fumbled the football before writhing on the ground in pain. Goedert spent some time in the medical tent but eventually returned to the game.

Goedert’s shoulder injury is not expected to end his season, per Garafolo, but he could be headed on injured reserve. If placed on IR, Goedert will miss at least four games.
